Growing In Faith

We at Lebanon United Methodist Church (LUMC) believe that are purpose is to:

“Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”

A disciple of Jesus Christ is a fully committed believer who is intimate with God and other Christians, a person who is growing in their faith, and are servants in the kingdom of God. Discipleship making is a process of:

Connecting,  Growing,  Serving

First, LUMC seeks to connect people to God and others.  Our desire is to see people become “connecting believers”. Next we challenge “connecting believers” to become “growing believers” by engaging in opportunities for deeper spiritual growth. The process continues by “growing believers” committing to become serving
believers.”

Growing Believer

We encourage everyone to become a part of a small group in order to pray, learn, and grow together.  It is not enough to participate in worship only, to be a disciple of Jesus Christ each person must engage in opportunities for deeper spiritual growth.  At LUMC we have many such opportunities.  There is the traditional Sunday morning Sunday School classes for all ages.   You can also join gender and age specific groups like our Youth group, Women’s groups and a Men’s group.  Other small groups meet at various times and places throughout the week.  These small groups very in there length and focus.  Some are long term groups that meet year round while others are short term and cover a specific topic.  Contact the church office to learn more
