Men’s Group

The men’s group at Lebanon UMC meets on the second Saturday of the month (accept for June-August).  The men gather for breakfast at 7:30 a.m.  The group strives to connect to God as they meet together as men of faith, they grow in their faith through the devotions that they share together, and they seek to serve God by actively be in ministry to the community and the church.  Two of those ministries are “All Pro Dad” and support Dinwiddie High school football.

The men have been involved in “All Pro Dads” for the last several years.  They sponsor breakfast at Dinwiddie Middle School, along with other local businesses once a month.  These breakfasts provides an opportunity for dads to spend some time with their child prior to the beginning of the day. The mission of “All Pro Dads” is to help dad’s to love and lead their family’s, and to be a hero to their kids.  The men of LUMC feel this is a vital part of what it means to be a man and are striving to nurture this in themselves and others.

Dinwiddie Football

The men at Lebanon UMC are also involved at Dinwiddie High School football as well.  The men provide meals for the entire football (Junior Varsity & Varsity) before home games.  The team and their coaches come to the church for a meal and an inspirational message.  The goal is to provide an opportunity for the team to bond together around a fellowship meal.  The men’s group along with much of the congregation also supports the team by cheering on the team at their games.  It is our hope that these young men will be inspired to mature into men who will be an asset to our community.
