Worship

We have designed our worship service to bring people into a relationship with God and other Christians.

On Sunday mornings we connect with God through prayers, music, Scripture reading, and preaching.  We recognize that worship is not a performance we watch, but an experience we share.  When we worship, we come from all the ordinary places, and patterns of our lives to enter into an extraordinary place and time, when our attention is drawn out of the narrow confines of our self-interest, and into the presence of God.

We seek to engage with the Holy Spirit to bring us into His presence.  Our desire is to be awaken from the powerful pull that the world has upon our lives. We are called to wake up to what God has done and is doing in Jesus Christ.  We are awakened by the warmth of the welcome, the physical setting in which we worship, the music we hear, and the first words that are spoken to call the congregation into the presence of God.  We further recognize that we cannot experience the fullness of Christian worship by ourselves.  We do it together with brothers and sisters in Christ whom we do not choose and who are drawn together in the name of Christ.

Worship is the most Important thing we do at Lebanon.
